The Government has notified the amendment to the area specified for the trial of offence punishable under section 4 in Karnataka.
The Principal City Civil and Sessions Judge; Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge; Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge; Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge; Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru City is designated as the special court for the areas namely Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural District, Tumkur District, Kolar District, Mandya District, Hassan District, Chikmagalur District, Chitradurga District, Mysore District, Chamarajanagar, Shimoga District, Kodagu- Madikeri Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara and Yadgiri.
The Additional District and Sessions Judge, District Court Complex, Bavutagude, Mangalore is designated as the special court for the areas namely Bagalkot District, Belgaum District, Bellary District, Bidar District, Bijapur District, Gadag District, Haveri District, Devanagare District, Dharwad District, Gulbarga District, U.K. Karwar District, Koppal District, Dakshin Kannada (Mangalore District), Udupi District”.
