The Central Government has designated Mr.Hasmukh Adhia IAS as Finance Secretary.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Mr Hasmukh Adhia, IAS (GJ:1981), Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance as Finance Secretary
He is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1981 batch belonging to Gujarat cadre.
He has served in various key positions for both Gujarat and Union government, such as Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Principal Secretary (Education), Principal Secretary (Transport), Principal Secretary to Chief Minister of Gujarat, Executive Director of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, Managing Director of Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation (GIIC), and as the District Magistrate and Collector of Bhavnagar and Surat districts in Gujarat Government, and as Union Revenue Secretary and Union Financial Services Secretary, in the Union Government. Adhia was also a Consultant to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIODO).
