In a press conference, the newly elected President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), while addressing the media today, said that the Institute has already taken action to provide the certified copies to all the aggrieved candidates without any cost.
Earlier, there’s a lot of discussion in the social media about the mismatch that happened in the CA Final November 2017 results announced on 17th January 2018. There have been a lot of question which has been raised on the ICAI’s examination mechanism. After CA Final November 2017 Results on 17th January 2017, students accessed a score list wherein many of the students who had failed to clear the exams were shown as passed. This raised question in student’s mind about the authenticity of the results.
Subsequently, the ICAI had clarification that there is no error in the results of CA Final examination held in November 2017.
Recently, the Delhi High Court also dismissed a petition challenging the results suspecting the authenticity of the messages forwarded through Facebook and WhatsApp.
âI must express my anguish at the manner in which the WhatsApp and Facebook posts are being circulated without any sense of responsibility. No doubt, the hopes of some students have been shattered, but unfortunately for them while the Court can only express its concern over the manner in which communications are circulated on WhatsApp/ facebook without any authenticity of the source thereof, the legal position does not in any manner support the petitioners who were, admittedly, found unsuccessful as per the official results declared by the respondent,â the Court said.
Last day, CA. Naveen N.D. Gupta, the New President of ICAI said that âWe have a very robust examination system and in this result also, in the larger interest of our students – our examination committee has taken further action to provide the certified copies to all the aggrieved candidates without any cost.â
