The Verizon has invited applications for the post of Spec-FP&A –Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing data and report metric to finance to help business to maintain cost and span in their business
- Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers.
- Analyzing information to discover trends and patterns
- Developing depth analysis of the business performance and recommend action plans; including gap closures, considerations for managing cost.
- Developing capital planning models, reports and templates.
- Developing Business Plan, distribution and recommendations for management reviews
- Conducting development of strategic business analysis with overlays and commentary.
- Creating performance reports, including business insights, ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to executive management.
- Identifying possible scenarios, risks and opportunities around business performance.
- Developing and analyze economic drivers of the business (e.g. resource span, other major cost drivers).
- Presenting information using data visualization techniques/ dashboards
- Communicating with finance leader in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- A professional certification (e.g. CA, CFA, CPA, CMA).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
- Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
- Familiarity with the preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
