The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has released a notice to announce that the e-invoice JSON download capability is currently operational on the GST e-Invoice Portal. GSTN has officially confirmed the activation of the e-Invoice JSON download feature on the GST Portal. To help you make the most of this functionality, we have outlined some crucial steps to assist you in navigating the process effectively.
To download the generated and received e-Invoices in JSON format, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in
Step 2: Navigate to Download E-invoice JSONs Section
Step 3: Search for e-Invoice (By IRN)
Step 4: View and Download
Step 5: Bulk Download (By Period)
Step 6: Excel Format e-Invoice List (By Period)
Step 7: Downloading History
Furthermore, this feature enables users to access and download comprehensive e-invoice data from all six IRPs (Invoice Registration Portals). As for accessibility, you can retrieve e-Invoice JSON files for a period of up to 6 months from the date of IRN generation.
In order to enhance the overall user experience, GSTN requests that taxpayers consider scheduling their downloads at different times, especially during non-peak hours, and avoid placing excessive demands on the system, particularly during the initial days. Additionally, please be aware that this feature can also be accessed through GST Suvidha Providers (GSP) via Government-to-Business (G2B) APIs.
