The Board of Studies of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has issued an Exposure Draft on the proposed revisions to the IES – 2, 3 and 4 – Sustainability for public comments.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) is calling for public comments on proposed revisions to International Education Standards ( IES ) related to sustainability. As a member of the International Federation of Accountants ( IFAC ), ICAI plays a role in the International Panel of Accountancy Education ( IPAE ).
IPAE sets global standards for accounting education, and ICAI uses these standards to develop its curriculum and entry-level requirements for chartered accountants.
The proposed revisions focus on IES 2, 3, and 4, aiming to better integrate sustainability concepts into the education of future accountants. ICAI is seeking feedback from all stakeholders on the Exposure Draft issued by IPAE. This feedback is relevant in shaping the final revisions and ensuring future accountants are equipped to address sustainability challenges in the business world.
