The finance ministry has informed about the special IGST refund drive at Tuticorin customs to rectify the Shipping Bill Errors of pending IGST Refund. The drive started on 1st July 2024 and will end on 15th July 2024.
The IGST refunds of many shipping bills were pending since July, 2017 due to errors generated during validation of data from GSTN with the ICES, viz, SB001, SB002, SB003, SB004 SB005 and SB006.
The IEC-wise/Period-wise details of all the shipping bills with error codes pending for IGST Refunds (enclosed) is available in the Customs House Tuticorin Website. Exporters can check the IGST validation status of their shipping bills in their ICEGATE accounts, where they can find the response/error codes for each shipping bill.
These errors can be rectified by the exporters. The errors related to shipping bills are:-

PFMS Validation Errors | Bank Account Details of Exporter not validated in PFMS |
During this drive from 1st July to 15th July, all shipping bills validated by GSTN but with pending refunds will be processed on a priority basis. The IGST Refund & Drawback Section at Custom House Tuticorin is responsible for handling pending export-related refund claims.
Any difficulties in implementing this public notice should be brought to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner of Customs (Drawback/IGST Refunds) at Customs House Tuticorin (Nodal Officer). Submissions can be made at the following address:
