The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has announced the launch of the fourth physical batch of the ‘Certificate Course on Indian Accounting Standards ( Ind AS )’ in Bhubaneswar. The batch is set to commence on October 19, 2024, and registrations are open until October 16, 2024, subject to seat availability.
The Certificate Course on Ind AS is designed to provide members with a reasonable level of understanding of Indian Accounting Standards, focusing on their practical application in real-world scenarios. The ASB encourages participants to further their knowledge through self-study and attend other in-depth courses offered by ICAI to gain deeper insights into Ind AS.

The course is a blend of physical sessions conducted over weekends, providing flexibility to members who wish to enhance their skills while managing their professional commitments.
The physical batch in Bhubaneswar will be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a total of 12 sessions scheduled. Each session will run for six hours, including teaching time, question-answer sessions, and breaks. Participants are required to attend at least 80% of the sessions to qualify for the final examination. The examination will be conducted online via the ICAI learning portal, with successful participants earning a downloadable certificate.
The fee for the course is set at INR 21,000 plus 18% GST, amounting to a total of INR 24,780.
Upon registration, members are required to complete face registration through the ICAI learning portal, which involves verification of identity via a webcam. This registration process ensures the credibility of the course and facilitates secure online examinations.

Participants will receive physical copies of course materials, and 25 structured CPE hours will be awarded for attending the sessions, along with an additional 5 CPE hours upon passing the final examination.
