The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on Saturday notified all the important decisions taken by ICSI Council at its meeting held on June 29, 2020, and July 13, 2020.
The council in the meeting decided to grant one more attempt to Executive Programme (2012 old Syllabus) and Professional Programme (2012 Old Syllabus) Students in December 2020 Session of Examinations.
The council approved of granting benefits to the students belonging to the Physically Challenged/ Disabled Category while appearing in CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET).
The council decided to conduct a free online crash course for students enrolled for the June 2020 exam session.
The Council decided to recommend the proposal of extension of the period for compulsory switchover of training (as prescribed under The Company Secretaries (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 for another period for six months (i.e. up to 02 February 2021) to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for consideration and approval.
The Council approved a further extension for the period up to 30 September 2020 for the members for completing the shortfall in the PCH, which ought to have been obtained by 31 March 2020.
The Council has further amended the ICSI (UDIN Guidelines), 2019, and approved the same.
The Council approved the ICSI (Specialised and Advanced Courses and Examination) Guidelines, 2020.
The Council approved the Launching of the following Courses on Arbitration, Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), Internal Audit, and Labour Laws.
The Council approved the Launching of following Certificate Courses like Certificate Course on POSH; Certificate Course on Forensic Audit; Certificate Course on RERA; Certificate Course on Cyber Security; Certificate Course on MSME; Certificate Course on FEMA; Certificate Course on GST; Certificate Course on Independent Director; Certificate Course in International Taxation; Certificate Course in International Trade; and Certificate Course on Start-up.
The Council decided to recommend the proposal for conducting 15-day E-EDP before the 15-day classroom EDP and that one-time opportunity to the students to undergo 15-day classroom EDP within six months of starting their long term training of 21 months under The Company Secretaries (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for consideration and approval of the same.
