Qualification
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Industry and multinational experience. Experience in dealing with varied global subsidiaries.
- Experience in tax compliance with working knowledge of SAP and SQL.
- Understanding of accounting principles, both local GAAP/IFRS and US GAAP and related accounting standards.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, with good business judgment and strategic thinking.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with regional and functional partners to ensure robust, scalable solutions. Drive the global agenda for eliminating, automating, standardizing, and determining processes to deliver efficiencies and improved controls.
- Ensure all month-end and year-end reporting within statutory/agreed timelines, SOX requirements and filing deadlines are met.
- Recognize potential areas of risk and develop risk management solutions.
- Be accountable for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness, and efficiency of all processes related to controllership for Google Payments in the APAC region.
