The Institute of Companies Secretaries of India (ICSI) notified the clarification regarding the “Opt-Out Facility”.
The ICSI has received various queries from students regarding “Opt-Out Facility” given to carry forward from December 2020 to June 2021 exam session vide Announcement issued dated 20th December 2020.
The Institute clarified that opt-out/ partial opt-out option shall be provided to all students as per details given in the Institute’s Announcement dated 20th December 2020.
The facility shall not be available to a student who has appeared in all the papers for all the modules for which he/she is enrolled.
For instance, if a candidate has enrolled for December 2020, only for one module in the case appeared for all papers then he/she is not eligible for the opt-out, however, if the candidate has not appeared in all papers of the module or appeared in few papers but not completing the entire module then he/she is eligible for opt-out.
If a candidate has enrolled for December 2020, for two modules in the case appeared in all two modules then he/she is not eligible for the opt-out, however, if the candidate has appeared in any one module completely then he/she is eligible for opt-out in which they have not appeared.
If a candidate has enrolled for December 2020, for three modules in the case appeared in all three modules then he/she is not eligible for the opt-out, however, if the candidate appeared in all papers of anyone module completely then he/she is eligible for opt-out in which not appeared.
