The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued procedures on application for filing an amnesty scheme for One Time Settlement of Default in Export Obligation by Advance Authorisation (AA) holders and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) holders on April 17, 2023.
The DGFT is in charge of developing and carrying out export and import policies and processes, granting licences to exporters and importers, and monitoring laws and regulations pertaining to international commerce.
The agency also serves as a point of contact between the Indian government and international trade associations and offers advice and support to importers and exporters in India.
The Regional Authorities (RA) is directed to process the application within the 3 working days.
As per the public notice issued on April 1st, 2023, the procedures specified as follows:
