The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Accounting Research Foundation came up with the Accounts Assistant Scheme.
The objective of the Scheme is to create local employment opportunities for youth Develop relevant skills in book-keeping, accounting, GST and Income Tax.
The Scheme offers skill-based training and evaluation. Teaching three major business related subjects namely Accounting, Income tax and GST
The scheme emphasizes online teaching considering COVID-19.
As per the Scheme Course Material, e-learning kit, classroom/online training and examination to be administered by ICAI Accounting Research Foundation, promoted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the premier accounting body of India.
Students get two sets of training namely Classroom/online training on accounting, GST and Income Tax Compliances and Internship at Professionals’/ company office.
The scheme will open up a chance to get listed on a job portal from where CA or CMA or CS or Advocates or other professionals or Organizations would hire them.
To be eligible under this scheme one must be above 21 years of age and must be a graduate who has commerce as one of the subjects in 10 + 2 or has passed 10+2 with commerce and accounts as qualifying subjects.
The Admission fee of Rs. 590 includes e-learning kit. The Examination fee will be Rs. 590 at each attempt (Minimum 2 examination per student) and Classroom/online training fee of Rs.3540 will be applicable.
