Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2024-2025 on July 23, 2024 in the Lok Sabha during the budget session, as approved by the President of India.
President Droupadi Murmu, on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning both Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session of 2024. The session is scheduled to take place from July 22 to August 12, 2024.
The announcement was made by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju via a tweet, confirming the dates and detailing the session’s agenda.
The Union Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 will be presented in the Lok Sabha on July 23, 2024, a day after the commencement of the session. The Budget Session is one of the most critical phases in the Indian parliamentary calendar, as it involves detailed discussions and approvals of the country’s financial and economic policies for the upcoming year.
While the Budget Session will run from July 22 to August 12, 2024., the Union Budget for 2024-25 will be presented on July 23, 2024, in the Lok Sabha.
