The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) notified the effective rate of Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess for specified goods.
The Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, exempted goods of the description and falling within the Chapter, heading or sub-heading or tariff item of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 from so much of the Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess leviable thereon under the said clause of the Finance Bill, 2021, as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate.
The rate of 50% of cess will be applicable on ChickPeas (Garbanzos).
The rate of 20% of cess will be applicable on Lentil (Mosur).
The rate of 5% of cess will be applicable on Muriate of potash, for use as manure or for the production of complex fertilisers.
The rate of 5% of cess will be applicable on Diammonium phosphate, for use as manure or for the production of complex fertilisers.
The rate of 2.5% of cess will be applicable on Silver, including silver dore an gold, including gold dore.
