The second phase of the budget 2023 session started on 13th March 2023 ( Monday) and it will continue till April 16th 2023, however adjourned till 14th March. The Union Budget 2023 was presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1st, 2023.
The Finance Bill and several other pending laws are currently the Center’s highest priorities. At present, there are 9 bills in Lok Sabha and 26 in the Rajya Sabha that are pending. The sequel will be mostly devoted to talking about requests for funds from ministries including Panchayati Raj, Tourism, Railways, Health, and Culture.

According to those with knowledge of the matter, the centre has proposed to regulate online pharmacies, which have become increasingly common in India in recent years, in the second session through a fresh draft version of the New Drugs, Medical Devices, and Cosmetics Bill that has been made available for discussion.
The proposed legislation said that the government might “regulate, restrict, or prohibit the sell, stocking, exhibiting, or offer for sale or distribution of any drug by online means by notification.”
Although practically all important areas were addressed by the Union Budget, families in the middle class received little assistance. Income up to Rs.7 lakhs won’t be subject to income tax, according to the new budget. The income tax vacations for entrepreneurs have been extended to 10 years. It is expected that the second phase of the budget will go smoothly as it is vital for the common citizens.
