Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing a team of analysts for delivering BAU tasks on RWA Calculations and Reporting.
- Reviewing the work performed by the team and have a detailed understanding of the templates/calculations performed
- Key Deliverables
Understanding Capital Adequacy rules by the regulator and how the rules are applied/ implemented.
- Performing RWA calculations on a monthly and/or daily basis to the agreed Collaboration Agreement with the stakeholder teams for all entities in scope for reporting.
- Performing variance analysis and provide an accurate, effective narrative on movements.
- Liaising with the multiple business partner teams across the world on an ongoing basis and manage the expectations from business partners on overall delivery, for timelines, quality, and efficiency.
- Understand the data flow and be able to articulate gaps and issues by raising them on a timely basis
- Participating in key infrastructure changes and drive these through multiple teams involved in the process (Change Management).
- Acting as the primary contact for audit and front office queries.
- General tasks
- Ensuring adequate documentation levels at all times.
- Reconciliation of capital templates and strategic/ automated data
Skills Required
- CA (Preferred) or hold an MBA or CFA qualification
- 6+ years’ experience in financial accounting/reporting & regulatory reporting (preferably Basel)
- Experience in handling regulatory reporting and calculations
- Understand financial products and how the accounting of various financial products like OTC Derivatives, Repos, Loans, etc work – as that will help in understanding RWA calculations and data flow.
- Accounting background especially USGAAP rules is preferred but not a must
- Outstanding knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in Regulatory Compliance, Financial Reporting,
- Proven track for interacting and liaison with business and technical teams of all levels.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as profile require daily interaction with global teams based in Singapore, London, Zurich, and NY
- Ability to liaise with all levels including senior management
