CAIT demands HRD Minister to include GST in Curriculum

GST

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has demanded the Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to add GST in curriculum in view of the recent changes in the indirect tax system in the country.

In a recent communication, the traders body has requested Mr Pokhriyal to remove disparity in current educational syllabus pertaining to taxation part by including education about GST in taxation curriculum.

CAIT national President B C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal here on Tuesday said that with implementation of GST in the country, the indirect taxation system has drastically changed whereas the studies about taxation being imparted in school and colleges are still based on old format of taxation system.

It is obvious that the students passing out studying current syllabus pertaining to taxation would be finding it difficult to match their taxation education with GST taxation system and such a mis-match will adversely affect.
