The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and customs has released Sampark 2023. Sampark is the consolidated source of CBIC officials’ contact information, facilitating collaboration and ease-of-connect between departments and its officials. It also provides officials with an organizational layout that allows them to better comprehend the organization’s hierarchy.
“CBIC embraces these five resolves (Panch Pran) with its initiatives by integrating new technologies, remodeling its processes, reshaping policies, empowering its officials, and delivering high-quality services. The highlighters in this edition are drawn from the CBIC led initiatives in this direction, towards making India a developed nation. CBIC’s synergy with Gati Shakti, bilateral relations to foster global trade, improving ease-of-doing-business with ICEGATE 2.0 (which was conferred with the Platinum award in the category of Public Digital Platforms at Digital India Awards 2022), leveraging technology with DIN and modernisation of the state-of-art laboratories are a few significant steps towards the goal of developed India.
While the unified taxation system and Faceless Assessment are measures to liberate ourselves from the colonial mindset, we take pride in our heritage with ‘Dharoharl, National Museum of Customs and GST, at Goa. Our unified approach through SWIFT which meets the modern times necessities, on the other hand our citizenship duty is revealed through taxpayers facilitation centers, conserving our environment with wildlife seizures and unique Swachhata initiatives”, the preface stated.
“In presenting the new Sampark 2023, we spared no effort to have the complete information contained within its pages and will be glad to receive any valued suggestions for its qualitative improvement. Thanking all the officials for their support and wishing all a prosperous time ahead!”, the preface to the handbook concluded, reflecting the vision and mission of CBIC for the coming years.
The document, apart from the contact information of various CBIC officials, also contains the list of Gazetted and restricted holidays for the Government of India Officers in Delhi/New Delhi.
