After the ICSE Board, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has decided to include the Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) in Class XI accountancy and proposed dividend in Class XII accountancy syllabus from 2018-19 session.
Earlier, the ICSE Board has decided to include Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) from 2020 by replacing the component on Value Added Tax in the Class X mathematics syllabus.
The segment on VAT carrying four to six marks will be replaced with GST from 2020 as the earlier tax regime has been discontinued, the Council For Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) confirmed earlier.
The decision on introducing the new chapter was taken last year. Students who will appear in the ICSE exam in 2019, will not have to study either VAT or GST.
