The  Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) urged that the students and public at large must not pay attention to false propaganda of malpractices going on in the conduct of online exams.

The Instituted has noticed that some individuals and CMA groups have been circulating false propaganda containing false and fake documents in social media to create an impression in the minds of the students, members and public at large that there are malpractices going on in the conduct of Institute’s online examinations of Intermediate and Final and that the examinations are likely to be cancelled.

There are also threats and conspiracy to destabilize the examination process. FIRs dated 5th January, 2021 have been lodged in Cyber Police Station, Lal Bazar, Kolkata and New Market Police Station, Kolkata against the miscreants who have been trying to degrade the dignity and integrity of the entire examination system in more or less like anonymous name and style taking the onus of having pierced the secrecy veil of the modern electronic technology and having admitted indulgence of their malpractices in the examination process.

“The Cyber Law, the Criminal Procedure and the CWA Act, Rules and Regulations will take its own course in dealing with the miscreants and necessary action is being taken in accordance with law. Through this message an appeal is made to the students, members and public at large to refrain from paying any attention to these false and fake propaganda by some conspirators who are acting with malafide intent,” the ICMAI said.
