The Boston Consulting Group has invited applications for the post of Finance – Analyst.
Associate / Analyst is a key position in the GL Accounting team of the India Finance Team. The person is central to key accounting activities, audits and tax data compilation for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Fixed Assets Accounting – Responsible for maintaining FAR. Calculating monthly deprecation and posting entries in accounting system. Identifying opex and capex items and do the accounting accordingly.
- Perform physical verification of assets periodically. Generate delivery challan for asset transfers. Plan for the depreciation in years to come.
- Audit – Responsible for providing P&L and balance sheet schedules during statutory and tax audit. Prepare variance analysis for profit and loss and balance sheet GLs.
- Coordinate with auditors for providing relevant supporting documents and information during Audit.
- Monthly Closing – Responsible for smooth and timely month closing activities of company. Co-ordinate with various users for collecting the required schedules and information for monthly closing.
- Preparation of monthly variance analysis of trial balance and ensure all schedules are prepared and reviewed correctly. Review P&L expenses and check for the correctness.
- General accounting – Ensure that accounting entries are passed in timely manner as per relevant policy and procedures defined by the company.
- Ensure that the database maintained is as per requirement of local tax laws, audit requirements and recent amendments.
- Support various tax audits, assessments, and return – Responsible for preparing and providing data for tax audit, TP audit, regular assessments, tax surveys, GST annual return, monthly tax and GST returns.
Qualifications:
- Must have basic knowledge about Indian Accounting Standards.
- Need to have relevant experience in GL accounting.
- Graduate with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
- Must have hands on experience in MS Excel.
- Proficiency in desktop applications and added advantage for knowledge in Oracle or SAP financial systems
- Excellent customer service orientation; responds to requests with a sense of urgency
- Displays tact, patience, and the ability to handle stressful situations
- Demonstrates competence and character that inspires trust
- Independently and proactively communicates issues, priorities, and objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral & written)
