Amazon is inviting applications for the position of Financial Analyst.
The Financial Analyst will partner with the Global Finance team (based in the US and Europe) to support various analytical, planning, and reporting needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business at Amazon. Basic Qualifications
- Strong English language oral and written skills
- Any graduate/ PG with a specialization in finance/accounting required
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel is a must; SQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle Financials, and Cognos is a plus
- 8+ years of relevant finance experience
- Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA degree is preferred

Job responsibilities
- Work independently to develop and provide financial accounting requirements to support and assist Amazon’s business teams with the design of new products or offerings and set-up of financial systems to ensure appropriate business support and controllership.
- Provide project task and issue management, working cross-functionally to transition new processes and/or permanent solutions to support month-end general ledger close activities, monthly account reconciliations and reviews, and preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs.
- Takes ownership and dives deep with excellent data mining skills to root cause of issues and support the business through regular interaction with CCogs tech team to fix the issues.
- Responsible for ensuring the successful identification, audit of contractors claims
- Prepares and review all claim types and reconcile with the financial books
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting activities
- Acts independently to lead and complete projects with complex objectives
- Understands the relevant accounting principles and effectively communicates findings to peers and business partners.
- Works independently to identify and execute projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency
