The Central Government recently notified that six sections of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) Act will be implemented from 22nd June 2017.
As per the notification, the provisions of sections 1, 2, 3, 14, 20 and 22 of the said Act shall come into force w.e.f 22nd June 2017.
IGST Act is applicable to all inter-State supplies of goods and services within the country.
In a separate notification, the Government has also stated that eighteen sections of the Central Goods and Services (CGST) Act will be applicable from 22nd June.
