The Commissioner of State Tax, Bihar has issued a notification rescinding Commercial Taxes Department Notification dated 23rd March 2018.
The new Notification states that E-Way Bill for intra-state supplies originating and terminating in the State of Bihar shall not be required to be generated if the consignment value does not exceed Rs.2 Lac.
The Notification will come into force on April 20th, 2018.
This would mean that from 20th April onwards e-way bill will become a requirement for the intra-State movement of consignment, having a value of more than Rs. 2 lacs, that commences and terminates within the State of Bihar.
E-way bills will be mandatory for intra-State trade in respect of these five more states – Jharkhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura and Uttarakhand -from April 20.
