The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has announced updates to the GST Portal, introducing new payment methods including the addition of Canara Bank and Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank as partners for e-payments, expanding the range of available options for taxpayers while enabling UPI tax-payments for Punjab and Uttarakhand.
GSTN has enabled the services of Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank Ltd for GST payments using Net Banking (e-Payment) and Over the Counter (OTC) methods. Additionally, Canara Bank has been integrated as a payment gateway, allowing digital payments via UPI and cards. This broadens the spectrum of payment methods and aims to provide flexibility to taxpayers.

The GSTN’s network of partner banks now includes Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Canara Bank, and Karnataka Bank. This extended partnership aims to simplify GST payment procedures and improve the efficiency of transactions.
Taxpayers can now choose from a wide range of payment methods, including Net Banking, OTC, Debit/Credit Cards, and UPI, making compliance with GST requirements more convenient than ever.
The new additions are part of continuous efforts of the Goods and Services Tax Network to make the payment of Goods and Services Tax user-friendly and efficient.
