The Goods and Services Tax Network ( GSTN ) has updated a new functionality of acceptance of CIN generated after the expiry of CPIN updated.
“CIN generated in case of Net Banking (E-Payment) is accepted, even after expiry of CPIN, if payment is initiated before the expiry of CPIN by a taxpayer,” GSTN said.
CPIN stands for Common Portal Identification Number and CIN stands for Challan Identification Number. The CPIN number generates before payment of GST tax and CIN is issued after payment of GST tax.
