ICAI Announces Empanelment of Members for Observers at CA Examinations in Sep-Nov 2024

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has opened the empanelment process for members to act as observers at the upcoming Chartered Accountants Examinations scheduled for September and November 2024.

Examination Schedule

– Foundation and Intermediate Examinations: 12th September to 23rd September 2024

– Final and PQC Examinations: 1st November to 11th November 2024

Empanelment Criteria

Eligible members must meet the following criteria:

– Age Limit: Not more than 65 years as of 20th July 2024.

– Membership: Registered as a member on or before 1st March 2022, with continuous registration.

– Conflict of Interest: No relatives or dependents appearing for the exams in September/November 2024.

– Non-Coaching Requirement: Not involved in coaching for any ICAI exams.

– Legal and Disciplinary Record: No convictions or pending disciplinary actions.

– Institutional Involvement: Not associated with ICAI in an elected/co-opted capacity.

– Guideline Compliance: Must adhere to observer guidelines and instructions.

Honorarium

Observers will receive ₹3000 per day per session, with additional conveyance reimbursement of ₹350 for ‘A’ class cities and ₹250 for other cities.

Observer Duties

Observers will be responsible for:

– Collecting and ensuring the correct distribution of question papers.

– Monitoring the examination process from collection to dispatch of answer sheets.

– Submitting daily reports and final bills promptly.

Application Process

Interested members can apply online at the ICAI Observer Portal between 20th July 2024 and 10th August 2024. Details of self-selection assignments will be hosted in the first week of September 2024.
