The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has further extended the last date for the submission of Multipurpose Empanelment to 15th November 2022.
“Considering the Requests received from the members in submitting the MEF 2022-23 owing to parallelly running last date of ITR filing, we are further extending the last date for submission of Multipurpose Empanelment from 9th November 2022 to 15th November 2022,” the ICAI said in a press release issued on Tuesday.
“It may be noted that this will be the last & final extension for filing MEF 2022-23,” the ICAI said.
“Members may refer to the “Advisory while filling MEF 2022-23. The MEF Applicants can also write to us at the Complaint Module of MEF (available at https://app.meficai.org/complaints) or at mefpdc@icai.in for any clarification if required,” the ICAI added.
The ICAI, under the supervision of the Professional Development Committee (PDC) is hosting the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) for the year 2022-23.
Out of the Multiple firms with Common Partners, one firm can apply for Bank Branch Auditors’. In case, more than one firm has applied for BBA Panel, the firms other than the firm which wants to remain eligible for BBA Panel have to withdraw MEF for BBA.
UCN will be allotted to all first-time eligible Applicants for Bank Branch Auditor’s panel. The Applicants who are not eligible for Bank Branch Auditor’s panel will also be allotted UCN, if any of the partners/proprietor/ Member practising in individual name is exclusively associated with Applicant as on 1st January 2022 to the date of second verification. Any Member who has been allotted UCN while practicing in individual name should continue to use the same UCN even on forming proprietary firm.
