ICAI introduces Certificate Course on Public Finance & Government Accounting

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has informed that the Committee on Public Finance and Government Accounting (CPF&GA) of ICAI will be shortly initiating a certificate course on Public Finance & Government Accounting for its members.

The course will prepare the participants for the challenges and opportunities in the field of Public Finance and Government Accounting. The course covers important aspects of Public Finance and Government Accounting at Central, State and Local Bodies.

“Through cases, lectures and dynamic peer discussions, this course intends to equip the participants with an extensive understanding of the Economic policies of the Government, Budgets, Fiscal tools, Government Grants, Public Funds, Rules, Regulations and Accounting Systems pertaining to Government departments/Institutions of Centre, State and local bodies,” ICAI said in a statement.

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to support the Public Finance and establish Accounting Systems to ensure robust financial reporting in Government Departments.

It is proposed to cover the modules over a period of seven days (Classes will be held only on weekends) with 6 hours of interaction daily.
