The elections for the 26th Council and the 25th Regional Councils of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) are set for December 6-7, 2024. It has released the new enforcement panel for conducting elections in both Central and Regional Councils.
To ensure a fair and peaceful election process, and in line with Rule 16 of the Chartered Accountants ( Election to Council) Rules, 2006, the Election Code of Conduct for Candidates, as approved by the Council, will be published on the Institute’s website.

The Election Code of Conduct containing instructions and norms for compliance by Candidates and their representative/s shall come into force from the date of issue of Notification under Rule 4(2), i.e. 3 rd September, 2024, and remain in force till counting of votes is completed and election results are notified in the Gazette of India.
According to the provisions of Rule 16 (5) of the Chartered Accountants ( Election to the Council ) Rules, 2006, it is notified for general information of the members at large that the Panel for enforcement of the Election Code of Conduct issued by the Returning Officer under sub-rule (1) of the aforesaid Rule for the forthcoming elections to the Council and Regional Councils shall be composed of the following persons:-
