ICSI releases Complaint Format for Registration of Disciplinary and Misconduct Issues 

ICSI has officially issued a format for Disciplinary and Misconduct Complaints

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India ( ICSI ) has issued a formal complaint format for the registration of disciplinary and misconduct issues.  

The newly released complaint format includes detailed sections to be filled out by the complainant. Key aspects of the format are as follows: 

1. Complainant’s Details: Name, membership number, contact information, and other relevant details. 

2. Incoming Auditor’s Details: Similar details as required for the complainant. 

3. Entity Information: Details of the entity involved in the complaint, including address and contact information. 

4. Particulars of Complaint: A detailed statement of reasons leading to the complaint, removal, or non-reappointment, with the provision to attach additional sheets if necessary. 

5. Evidence: List of oral and documentary evidence to support the complaint. 

6. Relief Sought: Specific relief or interim orders being requested from the committee. 

7. Legal Proceedings: Information on any legal proceedings initiated and their status, along with relevant documents. 

Additionally, the format mandates the submission of certified true copies of key documents, including engagement letters, relevant correspondence, and audit reports, among others. The complaint is to be submitted with a filing fee of Rs. 2,360/- ( including 18% GST ). 

Complaints can be filed via email at esb@icai.in, accompanied by scanned copies of NEFT payment proof. Alternatively, hard copies in triplicate, along with a demand draft, can be sent to the Secretary of ICAI
