The view of COVID-19 Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has requested the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for granting relief in filing E-Form MGT-14.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is a statutory professional body in India with the objective of promoting, regulating, and developing the profession of company secretaries in India. It is headquartered in New Delhi, has four regional offices at New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai, and has 70 chapters around the country.
The ICSI has requested that for filing e-form MGT-14 beyond 300 days and INC-28 beyond the stipulated timeline, moratorium/relaxation of time may be granted, or a separate scheme in lines with Scheme for relaxation of time for filing forms related to creation or modification of charges under the Companies Act 2013 may be introduced.
The Secretary of ICSI, Ashish Mohan has also said that this will help in easing the compliance burden in the prevailing difficult times, enhance the ease of doing business, and will help companies a fresh start.
