It is a Proud moment for Chartered Accountant fraternity that, a Chartered Accountant and Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal will present the Budget in Parliament today.
As the Loksabha elections are scheduled in May, this will be the last Budget of the incumbent government.
Mr Goyal was given the additional charge of finance ministry as Arun Jaitley is in the US for medical treatment.
Mr Goyal himself a qualified Chartered Accountant and all-India second rank holder Chartered Accountant and second rank holder in Law in Mumbai University.
According to government sources, income tax concessions for individuals, a farm relief package, support for small businesses and possible populist spending measures may be part of the Interim Budget 2019 that Finance Minister will present on Friday.
