GST Registration for E-Commerce operators and TDS deductors will start from 25th June. The existing Excise, service and other tax payers who have not yet migrated to GST will get another chance to enroll with the new tax regime. The registration window will remain open for three months from Sunday.
The registration will also start for GST practitioners, Tax Deductors at Source (TDS) and e-commerce operators, which are required to collect tax at source, GSTN said in a statement.
GSTN, the company providing IT backbone for the new tax regime, will offer another opportunity to existing tax payers to migrate, five days before the rollout of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Only 80 percent of existing tax payers are enrolled to the new indirect tax regime so far.
Earlier, Revenue Secretary Shri. Hasmukh Adhia had clarified that the tax payers who couldn’t migrated to the GST even after the rollout of GST can continue their business with provisional IDs.
