The World Bank has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Senior Team Leader.
The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans and grants to the governments of poorer countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects. It comprises two institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the International Development Association.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and oversight of the accounting procedures and business functions performed by the Global Payments Team, ensuring high quality of deliverables and internal controls. Manage service standards, client relations and escalations, and maintain service level agreements
• Develop the team’s work program in collaboration with the team leads and monitor team performance and work allocation
• Take the lead in the investigation of complex/exceptional cases and work with HQ counterparts to develop effective solutions
• Review and approve payment transactions above pre-established thresholds
• Periodically review and ensure action is taken on pending items
• Perform reviews of monthly AP and Fixed Assets Trial Balance submitted to HQ counterparts
• Assess the key controls in the Account Payable processes, which includes the annual Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) review. Participate in internal and external audits; provide support for compliance attestations and other assessments
• Maintain proper BCP procedures and participate in the periodic tests
• Provide inputs to the quarterly Operations Risk Report and implement solutions to address the reported issues
• Prepare management information and provide decision support for Accounts Payable
• Provide advice and support in the development of related WBG policies
