Google pay has invited applications for the position of Strategic Partner manager.
Strategic Partner Manager will be responsible for engaging with internal and external cross functional teams to drive critical business initiatives with Google’s banking partners. Equipped with business acumen and extensive product knowledge one will be on the front line of interacting with the company’s partners, and engaging them on a day to day basis for accomplishing Google objectives of creating a robust payment infrastructure.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 7 years of experience in payments, banking or other Financial institutions in areas related to Digital payments
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with driving results in a matrixed organization and ability to influence without authority
- Having in-depth knowledge of the workings of Digital Payments and Card Products
- Excellent partnerships and communication skills illustrating the ability to quickly get things done across both technical and business domains
- Excellent analytical skills, creative problem-solving, a sense of ownership, and a proactive can-do attitude.
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, leadership skills and ability to communicate with executives and senior management teams
- Demonstrated thought-leadership, relationship building and management skills, with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to build reliable and scalable payment products and features
- Partner with networks/banks to build innovative products. Work with banking partners on payment initiatives
- Build relationships with existing and potential financial services partners, manage complex partnerships to achieve business goals
- Own and drive various Reliability initiatives with the networks and bank(s) to improve and sustain a high degree of functional and operational reliability for Payments platforms
- Work closely with the product and business teams in the networks/banks to help address and improve key payment metrics like latencies, success rates, etc.
