Recently the Income Tax (IT) Department investigation wing recovered around Rs. 60 Crore cash during raids in the house of a shoe manufacturer in Agra, UP. The raids are ongoing at multiple locations of the Ramnath Dang, who owns Harmilap Traders, in Jaipur House.

The department arrived at Ramnath Dang’s house and during the search operation, huge amounts of cash were found in various parts of the house, with most of the notes being ₹500 denominations. Due to its large volume, machines had to be brought in to count the cash.

Images of the seized notes on a bed inside the house of the businessman went viral on social media. However, the Income tax department has not issued an official statement regarding the raids.
